Joey Beauchamp Foundation named official Charity Partner!

Kidlington FC is delighted to announce the Joey Beauchamp Foundation as its official Charity Partner for the 2024/25 season.

Joey Beauchamp, an English Professional Footballer who played as a left midfielder. Joey played most of his career at Oxford United but also had spells with West Ham United and Swindon Town as well as a short loan spell at Swansea City.

Beauchamp passed away on 19th February 2022, at the age of 50. At the time of his death, he was tenth and fifth respectively in Oxford United’s all-time lists having made 428 appearances and scored 80 goals for the club.

The Joey Beauchamp Foundation was set up in his memory and serves Oxfordshire by improving local mental health support services. Their ultimate mission is to promote mental well-being and support local people living with mental health difficulties.

A Kidlington FC spokes person said: “We’re delighted the club are partnering with The Joey Beauchamp Foundation for the forthcoming campaign, and I am sure this partnership will be well received by supporters”.

“Joey Beauchamp was an Oxford United legend, and the club remains incredibly proud of his achievements on and off the pitch. The important work being conducted by the charity ensures Joey’s legacy lives on and I am pleased we will be supporting their work with promoting mental well-being and supporting local people living with mental health difficulties”.

Joey’s brother and the Foundations Patron, Luke Beauchamp, added: “We are honoured that the club has chosen to adopt the Joey Beauchamp Foundation as your first team charity.”
