Match Report

Defeat for Kidlington on Matchday Five as Biggleswade are awarded three penalties. With the penalties being converted by Lee Northfield and Dan Bond.

10 minutes in, Kidlington’s new signing Brad Walker went down holding his quad and immediately signally to the bench that he couldn’t carry on. A disappointing start to the afternoon’s proceedings. Charlie Cooke took his place.

A run in behind from Cheyce unlocked the Biggleswade defence, however, his first shot was denied by George Rose, which the ball then landed back at Cheyce’s feet for him to convert.

10 minutes later, Kidlington’s defence was called into action as Biggleswade attacked with pace. Amir Wadi was running through before a well timed sliding challenge was able to stop the Biggleswade attacker getting a shot off at Carter.

6 minutes before Half-Time, Alex Costa had a brilliant run through midfield before laying it off to Charlie Bacon who, unfortunately, was stood in an offside position.

It was Otis Castle’s turn to defend a Biggleswade counter attack this time. The Wader’s had men running into the box but a fantastic sliding challenge from Otis Castle meant that Peter Holmes could not deliver any danger.

Unfortunately, 2 minutes into added time, Biggleswade would be awarded a penalty that was then converted by Lee Northfield.

The second half begun and Biggleswade picked up from where they left off in the first half, with a wonderful ball being delivered into the Kidlington box but the acrobatic effort from the Wader’s attacker wouldn’t come off.

In the 64th minute, we would have our best chance since we scored, with John Dennis unleashing a shot that would need George Rose to save it. Indeed he did, denying John Dennis’ 18 yard strike.

Another Biggleswade penalty would be awarded in the 72nd minute, as a challenge on Dan Bond would be given. He would then later covert the penalty past Carter.

In the 90+8, Biggleswade would convert their final penalty to make it 3-1.
